🗣 “For obvious reasons, we do not care which institution made this unlawful decision, infringing on freedom of speech, freedom of the press and the rights of Russian journalistswho honestly perform their duty. We are forced to react mirror and adequately to unfriendly actions, which were admitted by the Berlin department to Russian correspondents.
We very much hope that this escalation will not be allowed in the future. We didn’t even close the ARD office while in Moscow. But if any claims are again made against our journalists, especially infringement of their rights, we will respond to this. We will not leave this without an answer.”
